Originally from Spokane, Washington – Deb Never had spent most of her childhood days moving from one to another around the Pacific Northwest with her mother. Her father did missionary work in East Asia and was mostly away. While struggling their way through each day she realized that the frustrations and angst needed a way of release.
She taught herself to play guitar and started writing songs. Initially she just started doing house shows in the suburbs of Spokane and later on moved to Los Angeles looking for a fresh start. It was only in 2018 that her song, with the help of a friend, made its way to SoundCloud.
The couple of tracks she posted caught the attention of Michael Washington, a WeDidIt affiliate. Soon she was teaming up with D33J to record the songs “Nothing Left” and “Heading South” and performing live in a sold-out concert in Los Angeles and Jimmy Kimmel Live! with Brockhampton. Soon after, her debut project, House on Wheels EP was out.
Never describes this project as a “deeply personal experience” and that her music is more honest than sad. At present her Instagram fanbase is growing with more than 85K followers and she has been described by many, and we agree, an artist to watch out for, in the coming years.
